Lionheart 2024, Wake the Lion, is THIS Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 6 pm!

Let's finish this school year out with an amazing celebration in honor of our AMAZING SMK Teachers. Attendance is way beyond our expectations, and we want YOU to be there, as well! If you have not done so already, please purchase your Lionheart admission tickets HERE. If you are a Teacher, please follow the same link to let us know you (and your complimentary Guest!) will be sharing in all the Teacher festivities.

With the size and scope of this Lionheart, we still need volunteers for almost every role. Please sign up to volunteer to help before, during or after the event! Every pair of hands helps, and we need even more Volunteers this year! Most shifts, we only ask for one hour of your time. You can sign up using this SignupGenius to claim your volunteer time and activity, and we still really need Check-out Volunteers. If you are a Member of Holy Name, and you would like to bartend for (1) one hour shift, please reach out to Rob Vezina.

Day-of-the-event information! Rain or shine, Lionheart has you covered with a beautiful huge tent on the School's front lawn. Summer Cocktail Party attire, but mind your heels on the lawn, ladies! When you arrive, please check in with one of our wonderful Check-in Volunteers. Lionheart is a cashless event!

When you receive your Silent Auction bidding link this week from our Auction Platform Company, Greater Giving, you can pre-register your credit card information. What does that mean to you? At Check-in, all you have to do is state your name to receive your Bidder Number! (This keeps the Check-in Line shorter for all!)

Similarly, if you are joining a table through a wonderful Lionheart 2024 Sponsor, please complete the RSVP email you have received. Again, please enter your credit card information for pre-registration to receive the VIP treatment. If you have not received the Sponsor's RSVP email yet, please reach out to the Sponsor to share it with you.

As you already know, Lionheart has a live Tuition Raffle for one free year of tuition for one student! (1) ticket entry for $20 or (6) entries for $100. Ticket entries will be on sale at Lionheart, and the winner will be drawn live, but you now may also purchase your pre-sale tuition raffle tickets here!

Please be on the look-out for our email later this week when the SILENT AUCTION goes LIVE and you can start your bidding (with a LIVE AUCTION PREVIEW!)

We cannot wait to share with all of you how many fantastic packages we have ready to be auctioned, and we absolutely CANNOT WAIT to celebrate with all of you this weekend, to HONOR our Teachers and raise proceeds for our beloved St. Mark School!

Our Amazing St. Mark Teachers!

Our teachers at St. Mark pour their hearts into shaping the futures of our children. Their love, dedication, and unwavering commitment set the stage for our students’ bright and rewarding futures. We look forward to showing them our true appreciation at Lionheart 2024.

Lionheart is not just a fundraiser; it is a tradition that connects our community and it is vital to St. Mark School. Past success has always been directly related to the support of our wonderful community. This year's theme, "Wake the Lion", is a call to action specifically chosen to wake our entire school, parish, and local communities to rally together to make this year's Lionheart the most memorable and successful one yet! At the same time, we hope to bring out the camaraderie and pride we all share for our teachers, our school, and the North Buffalo Family of Parishes. We encourage the entire school community, our parish family, and the Family of Parishes to participate, as our goal is to have the most welcoming Lionheart event, strengthen our greater community, and yield high results for St. Mark to continue to thrive!

Whether you are a seasoned Lionheart attendee or brand new to the experience, your participation is crucial in ensuring the success of our fundraiser. For those within the school community, we hope the Lionheart 101 email sent to you by your class’ Room Parent proved helpful. We also ask everyone who has previously attended the event to share with anyone who will listen what a fun, relaxed, positive-vibe our auction provides – Lionheart is where our entire community can come together and new friends are made! As always, there will be good music, an open bar, delicious food from local restaurants, and exciting items to bid on. This year’s Lionheart will be as memorable as any; we are VERY excited to reveal further announcements as Lionheart approaches!

Calling all businesses! Showcase your business or employer and support St. Mark School through a Lionheart Sponsorship or Program Ad. Silent and live auction items that would be popular to bid on are another way to promote any business’ products and services and help our school. Your generous sponsorships and donations will make all the difference!

Our Gift Gathering Parties have begun! These parties are a great opportunity to meet (or re-connect) with parents in your child’s grade and help support the Lionheart Auction at the same time. Alumni and Friends of St. Mark Gift Gathering Party dates will also be announced soon. Each party has a theme for gifts or is a stock the bar party. Parents are asked to bring a gift with a suggested value of $50 that will be used as part of the silent auction. Cash/check donations are also accepted, if you don't have time to shop! There is also a Lionheart Gift Registry on Amazon to provide attendees with our Lionheart 2024 Wish List. We are so grateful to our party hosts, and we look forward to seeing you at the parties!

Volunteers, we need you! An event with almost 400 people in attendance is only possible through the help of many volunteers. From pre-event preparations to on-the-day assistance, every pair of helping hands from now until June makes a significant impact. Please watch for opportunities communicated from your Room Parents and in email blasts -OR- sign up here!
